SV Baseball at Humboldt
6/5 Humboldt L 7-17 (2-4)
The third game in a row for the Jaguar baseball team saw them travel to Humboldt to take on the Wildcats, who have a talented roster but the Jags showed some fight in the contest scoring seven runs and making the game within reach before the Wildcats had a huge inning to secure the win. Lenix Allbee threw well but tough rainy conditions didn't make it any fun for pitchers. Promising freshmen Dawson Tuel and Conner Rentz both got some time on the mound for the Jags which was good to see. The Jags offense had a good showing with seven runs but wasn't enough in the end. Casey Hanson had a nice day going 2-4 with two singles. Gauge Jones topped him by one at bats going 2-3. Tyler Jondle, Dawson Tuel and Logan Jaeschke would all add a hit. Mason Bahr would add a double to the totals, scoring two runners. Karson Roper and Gauge Jones would also score two runners throughout the night.
JV 0-13 (4-2)
The JV squad hit a bit of a road block when they played against the Wildcats. The Jags went hitless with two errors allowing Caden Milham and Colton Haug to reach base. Ayden Bintz took the mound with Caden Kaltschnee getting the last few innings to pitch in his season debut. Tough game but the Jags will bounce back and get in the win column in no time.
