Jag Baseball at Greene County
6/30 @ Greene County 3-2 W(11-10)
A hot June day saw the Jaguar baseball squad travel to Jefferson to take on the Rams in a non conference matchup. The Jags sent senior Nick Field on the mound. Nick has been consistent all year throwing strikes and pitching some good games for the Jags. Nick would continue this trend throwing all seven innings within seventy five pitches allowing his defense to make plays for him. The Rams would only hit one ball to the outfield but record three hits all infield singles that were tough plays to make. The Rams had the Jags with a 1-0 lead until the Jags would explode with three runs in the sixth inning to take the lead for good. The rams would answer and make it close in the sixth getting one run closer but Senior Nick Field shut them down in the seventh to secure the close win for the Jags. Singles abounded in the scorebook and the Jags did just enough to get runners to cross. The top three batters of Casey Hanson, Karson Roper, and Logan Jaeschke would all single and get hit by a pitch remarkably. Mason Bahr would break that trend getting a double off his bat. Dawson Tuel and Kolton Ollinger would both single and Conner Rentz would round out the hits with a single and an RBI. Dawson would also make the most of his single plating a runner on his lone hit. Even though the Jags staggered their hits they ended with seven total hits to the Rams three. Other Jags not collecting hits but still doing their team justice was Landon Vote who scored a run and courtesy runner Spencer Peterson would score as well. Colin Johnson would end with a sac bunt as well advancing a runner.
No JV game due to low Greene County numbers
